Traveling with Minors: Children age 13 and under are required to travel with a parent or legal guardian. If the child is under the age of 10, their travel must be pre-approved by Food for the Hungry staff. Children 14 to 17 are not required to travel with a parent or legal guardian. However, their parent/legal guardian is required to grant a medical Power of Attorney to an adult traveling with the team. The expected ratio is 1 adult per 4 minors (14-17), unless otherwise approved by FH staff.
All minors are required to have their parent or legal guardian complete the Risk Disclosure for Minors form. All travelers under the age of 13 are also required to have their parent or legal guardian complete the Protection Policy form. Both documents must be mailed to the Food for the Hungry office.
Forms and Disclosures: All travelers will be asked to acknowledge their compliance with the following documents when they complete their online Travel Profile.
